A special inspection by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant near Southport started Tuesday, according to a release from the NRC. The team is inspecting the malfunction of two of the plant's four emergency diesel generators on Jan. 1. This is the second problem Progress Energy has had with an emergency diesel generators in the past couple of months, NRC spokesman Roger Hannah said.
