Southern Co. has announced several changes in its management ranks, and some of those changes will impact Alabama Power Co. Jim Heilbron has been named senior vice president and senior production officer for Birmingham-based Alabama Power. Heilbron will have responsibility over the company's generation functions, including Alabama Power's fossil and hydro plants. He currently works at sister company Southern Power, where he serves as senior vice president and senior production officer.
