Chaparral Energy, Inc (Chaparral) today announced it has entered into an exclusive oil & gas Concession Agreement with the Osage Minerals Council to lease and potentially develop oil & gas rights (excluding coalbed methane rights) on 138,000 acres in Osage County, Oklahoma. This agreement increases Chaparral's acreage position in the expanding Northern Oklahoma Horizontal Mississippi Play to approximately 244,000 acres.
