Jordan: Chinese solar energy firm Trina Solar has unveiled plans to build a solar power project in Jordan with a total cost of $200m, Jordan Times has reported. The company is the latest international firm to express interest in the kingdom's renewable energy sector since the passage of the country's Renewable Energy Law. The legislation clears the way for investment in renewable energy projects, enables the energy ministry to enter direct negotiations with firms and provides tax incentives for alternative energy projects.
