Mothers for Peace and 21 other similar watchdog groups nationwide are petitioning the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to halt the renewal process of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear power plant and any other nuclear power plant until the commission updates the policy over what to do with spent fuel on plant sites.
