The Sacramento Municipal Utility District tied for the highest ranking among midsize utilities in the West, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study released Wednesday. Both SMUD and Idaho Power had a customer satisfaction index score of 707 on a 1,000-point scale, tying for first place in customer satisfaction.
