Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has called the state's regulation of the oil and gas industry "not adequate today" and is pushing for increased pollution fines revealing the chemicals used in fracking, the Associated Press reported. DeWine told the AP that the state should align its fines with regulations in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Texas. That would require Ohio to charge violators $10,000 a day compared with $20,000 per incident it currently charges, the AP reported.
