Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (Taqa), which owns assets in Canada and Europe, has posted a 26% drop in yearly profits due to a one-time charge and UK taxes on oil and gas producers, Reuters has reported. Taqa, which is 75% owned by the government of Abu Dhabi, said 2011 net profit was Dhs752m ($204.74m), down from Dhs1.02bn in 2010.
